Introducing WP TagAds, a new way to display ads on your WordPress blog. WP TagAds is an advertising solution tailored for WordPress bloggers, ads are displayed based on the “post tags” you assign to a post in your WordPress blog. This is different then say Google Adsense where the page is crawled then ads are displayed based on the findings.
With WP TagAds you are served eBay products based the keywords you assign to a post. Don’t like the ads your are seeing, just change the keywords around a little to get the ads you are looking for.
Ads are displayed via a sidebar widget that is included in the plugin and you can place the widget where you like inside your template. You will need a eBay Campaign ID to start making money. A eBay Campaign ID is issued to you free by the eBay Partner Network. Get an eBay account here
Demo page – The ads are on the right side bar under “related products”. You have fun control over what you want to title the sidebar widget.

To get WP TagAds up and running
- Download Package
- Unzip contents to your plugins directory
- Activate Plugin
- Once you have activated the plugin, click on the WP TagAds link in the header and enter your eBay Campaign ID. Learn how to create a campaign id
- Finally go to Design->Widgets and drag the WP TagAds widget into your sidebar.
- All done!

When I install from the version here WP tells me there is an update on the WP site to 1.1. Great, so I uninstall and install the new version to get this when I try to activate:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&’, expecting T_VARIABLE or ‘$’ in /home/nialltay/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-tag-ads/wptagads.php on line 44

Sorry to say it broke my theme
I’m using the heavily tweaked Brandford Magazine theme from der-prinz in Germany, and as soon as I put the widget in the sidebar, everything else disappeared from it – on the home page, and the single page, single post pages – everywhere!
Is there a way to insert this into the sidebar without using the widget, or into posts (example as a bottom right boxed table cell that always appears in the same place in every post)?
Would really appreciate some pointers on this as it looks like a really useful plugin.

I just tested the code on the site and it worked so you shouldn’t have any problems. You will need to customize the output or it will be pretty plain.

Hey man, can you tell me where can I get the Campaign ID?
I create a new campaign at eBay Publisher Network but I don’t understand which is the 9 didgit number you say.
I see a number that might be a Campaign ID but it has 10 digits.
